The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced two gear upgrade currencies: Valorstones and Harbinger Crests. These can be traded with the NPCs for upgraders of items Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item can be upgraded to the highest level for a specific slot once. Upgrades to that slot are then cheaper afterward. In addition the pity system introduced with The War Within lowers extreme variation in the chance to upgrade.
Upgrades
In gaming upgrades are the replacements of components that enhance performance or offer new capabilities. They can be purchased or earned in many ways, such as in-game events and cash shop items.
In contrast to enchantments, which can be incorporated into any item, upgrades are tied to specific items and can only be applied to the items. A weapon that is already equipped cannot be upgraded. However, certain items can be upgraded several times, bringing more benefit to the owner of the item.
The mechanism of upgrading is relatively new. It was introduced in patch 4.1.0. The upgrade system lets players combine additional improvements to equipment to increase its power, from simple boosts in strength to significant damage and defense boosts. Upgrades are grouped into tracks and each track has its own limit on the maximum amount an item can be upgraded. Those limits are designed to stop players from flooding low keystone dungeons to get gear and then upgrading it up to.
Consumables, armor, and weapons are all upgradeable items. Most gear is already upgraded as it is dropped, though certain items (such as Ornn's gear or the baby Dracolich pet) aren't upgradeable. The gear can be upgraded to higher levels by purchasing a recipe from the upgrade vendor, then combining it with an item in the correct upgrade slot. The player can determine how many upgrades a piece of gear can be upgraded by looking at its inventory icon or by searching for the item in the shop.
There are two major drawbacks to the upgrade system. The one is that it may be difficult to identify what items are upgradeable since the upgrade vendors don't always show all of them. The upgrade textures are rendered over the item model which can hide enchantment details as well as other details.
Another disadvantage is that upgrades can be costly. Each step up a gear's upgrade level will cost a certain amount of Valorstones and crests, based on the item's slot and item level. Weapons, for example, require more Valorstones and crests to upgrade. Cash shop items can to lower the cost.
Recycles
In the wake of growing awareness of how single-use items and inefficient habits can contribute to environmental degradation, many are changing their shopping habits. Some people buy high-quality items that last longer or recycle their old gadgets in search of a solution. Many people are choosing to purchase recycled products and seek the highest percentage of recycled content when buying. This trend is likely to reduce the amount of resources required to create and extract new materials, and create an environment that is more sustainable.
Recycling is an integral aspect of this process and it's now much more accessible to consumers. Many products, like furniture and papers, are made from recycled material. This means that they're made from recycled or discarded materials and it's simple to purchase recycled items online or at the store. These products aren't just more environmentally friendly and cost less, but they're also more affordable than the equivalent products.
When an item is upgraded, it gains extra bonuses along with its improved stat. These bonuses vary depending on the item's tier and may be of various types. The ones who have higher tiers will get higher bonuses than those on lower tiers.
As the world economy shifts from resource extraction to recycling and reusing, more companies are making promises to create products that are more sustainable. Many of them are also focusing their efforts on recycling materials and offering incentives to customers who recycle their products. As the demand for sustainable products grows we can expect to see more recycled items in stores and on the shelves.
Rerolls
Rerolling is an essential feature in Genshin Impact, or any other gacha game. Rerolling allows upgrade item to try again with a weapon or character they wish to play, either because it is attractive or they believe it would be a good fit on their team.
Rerolls function by allowing players to reroll the items available in the current game in exchange for a small amount of materials. The cost of these weapons increase as the number of rerolls increase, but some items may never be available (for instance, characters who exclusively use ranged weapons won't see the melee weapon).
As an item increases in stats it enters the Staple Pool where it gains additional bonuses. These are based on the type of item that it is - for example an upgrade that increases a weapon's main stat will also increase its additional stats. The additional stats can also change if the item changed.
If a player has enough stamina to perform a reroll they can press a button with circular arrows to swap their current item to a different one. This new item will have the same level but it will come with a different set of bonuses, based on if the original item was a sword, gun or watch, or a book.
Rerolling doesn't reset an item's current bonus levels, however the player will be required to meet minimum requirements for their special ability. It's not easy to obtain an item of high-level with the bonus you desire, but this allows them to try another option in future without spending any additional resources.

Leveling up an item doesn't just increase the value of its bonuses - it will also give the item a boost in tier, meaning that it will gain a certain amount of bonus stats when upgraded in the future. It is crucial to only upgrade your gear to the extent you can, since further upgrades will not change the outcome.
Sets
A set is a collection of items which share a common characteristic. They are frequently used in the area of mathematics and can be represented by a notation like . Sets possess a variety of important properties such as the associative and commutative properties. These properties aid us to understand how sets work and have real-world applications.
Sets of items can be upgraded for additional bonuses in the game. For instance, a set of armor pieces may give a boost in the armor's defense while a weapon can offer an additional damage base. These additional stats will be applied after the base stat and before flats and percentages. The additional stats can be a great method to increase the value of an item.
When upgrading an item, it will replace the old base stat with the upgraded stat. For example the weapon that was able to sustain 20 base damage will now have 40 base damage. The base armor and upgrade requirements will remain. This is a great way to get an elite item for an affordable price.
The process of upgrading unusual items can be profitable, particularly if the item has an interesting mod. A rare belt that has +5 IAS, for example can have a huge impact on a build's strength particularly in the early stages of hell. It's also a great option to increase the value of an item by injecting a high or perfect roll.
Item Upgraders differ for set, unique and rare items. Once the item is at level 10, it will usually be upgraded back to its base type. For instance upgrading a unique item with a max defense roll will result in an armor item of elite quality with the same base type. This isn't a guarantee result, and there are instances where an upgrade will not alter the basic type of item.
It is recommended to upgrade your BiS (Best in Slot) and then move on to non-BiS, items. This will provide the player with an established base to build on when they're trying to level up. Then, they can focus on advancing their tiers and gain additional stats.
